The First B Womenhas already defined its competition format for 2026. The Tournament will have 20 teams that will be divided into two zones and there will be four promotions to the First Division, which promises a very competitive season.
How will Primera B Femenina 2026 be played?
In the first phase, each zone will play a round-robin round-robin, so
each team will play 18 games. From there will come the first important movements in the table: promotions and finalists for the championship match.

Who is promoted directly to the First Division?
The winners of each zone will achieve direct promotion to Primera A. But it does not end there: both will face each other in a round-trip final to define the champion of Primera
B 2026.
This will be the Reduced team due to two more promotions to First Division
The fight for the other two promotions to the First Division will be resolved in a Reduced Tournament that will be played by 16 teams: those that finish from 2nd to 9th place in each zone.
First, a reclassification phase will be played, with crosses between zones and round-trip matches:
2° A vs 9° B
2° B vs 9° A
3° A vs 8° B
3° B vs 8° A
4° A vs 7° B
4° B vs 7° A
5° A vs 6° B
5° B vs 6th A
The eight winners will advance to a qualifying phase, where they will be ordered according to the
general table and will meet again in a round-trip series:
1st vs 8th
2nd vs 7th
3rd vs 6th
4th vs 5th
From there the four semi-finalists will emerge.
The definition of the Reduced
The semifinals of the Reduced will be:
1st vs. 4th
2nd vs. 3rd
The two winners will be promoted to First A. Afterwards, both will play a final match on the field of the best placed in the general table to define the winner of the Reduced Tournament Cup.
How are relegations to First C defined?
At the other extreme, there will be two relegations: the last in each zone will lose their category and will go down to First C.
With four promotions at stake and only two relegations, Primera B 2026 is shaping up to be an intense championship, with many teams fighting until the end to rise to the highest category of Argentine football.
