The Primera B Femenina already has its first two promotions of 2026. Rosario Central and Platense secured their places in the highest category of Argentine soccer for next season this Sunday, after taking first place in their respective zones with two dates remaining until the close of the regular phase.

Las Canallas and Calamares had reached matchday 16 as leaders and with a significant advantage over their pursuers, Estrella del Sur and Vélez, respectively. And although both had to wait until the end of their matches to confirm their goal, they ended the day with the biggest prize: a return to the First Division.
Rosario Central: promotion despite its first defeat of the season
Rosario Central had an unbeatable opportunity to seal promotion and, paradoxically, they achieved it after suffering their first defeat of the championship.

Those led by Matías Giugno fell 3-1 against All Boys at the Islas Malvinas stadium, on matchday 16 of Zone B. Sabrina Mazzuchelli, on two occasions, and Valeria Leguizamón scored for the local team, while Giovanna Fernández scored the discount for the Rosarina team.
The defeat, however, did not change the outcome of the zone: Rosario Central needed to add a point or for Estrella del Sur not to add three, and that was precisely what happened: Alejandro Korn's team drew goalless against Defensa y Justicia and the Rosario team celebrated, since they have 8 points ahead of their second team, with six to play.
In this way, the Canallas crowned a dominant campaign: after 16 dates, they accumulate 41 points, the product of 13 victories, two draws and one defeat. With two rounds still to play, no one can take first place from them in Zone B.
The promotion also has a special meaning for Central, which had lost the category in 2025 and managed to return to First just one season later.
Platense, back in First Division after Vélez's draw
Platense also had to wait until the end of the day to confirm his promotion, although in his case he did so with a victory.

El Calamar defeated Camioneros 2-1 at the Mariani Dolan Premises and reached 43 points in Zone A thanks to the goals of Natalia Tévez and Celeste Santana.
Of course, confirmation came a few hours later when Vélez, Platense's guard, tied 1-1 with Atlético de Rafaela and was left with no mathematical possibilities of catching up with the leader. With that result, the Calamares secured first place in the area and, therefore, one of the two direct promotions awarded by the regular phase.
Platense had also reached Primera B after losing the category in 2025, so, like Central, it achieved a quick return to Primera.
Now, Rosario Central and Platense will face each other in a round-trip final to define the champions of the Primera B Femenina 2026 Tournament.
Two more promotions at stake
The format of the First B women's 2026 establishes four promotions to the First Division. The two teams that finish first in each zone obtain direct promotion. The other two tickets will be defined by a Reduced between the teams that finish between second and ninth place in each group.
For this reason, although Central and Platense have already secured their place in A, there is still much to be defined in the second category. The positions that will determine the Reduced crossings will continue to be disputed during the last two dates of the regular phase.
For now, Primera B already has its first two protagonists for the next season. Rosario Central and Platense met the goal of returning to First Division and, now, they will have the possibility of closing their campaigns with a title.
