Barracas Central made an important request to the AFA for the 2026 season and with the aim of its men's team being able to play the Sudamericana.

Club Atlético Barracas Central announced that it has officially requested the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to incorporate its women's football team into the First Division C for the 2026 season.

The main objective of the request is that Guapo meets the requirements demanded by Conmebol for those men's teams that compete in Confederation competitions. One of those demands of the South American entity is that, in order to compete in the official continental tournaments, the club must have a women's team.

Given Barracas' classification to the Sudamericana, the institution made the formal request to incorporate its women's team into the Primera C. In addition, they reported that they also want to participate in the Under-19 Tournament, another of the requirements of the Conmebol Club License Regulations.
