Kishi Núñez surprised by announcing through social networks his departure from Boca Juniors. The 20-year-old soccer player explained that she is going through a difficult time on a personal level and decided to temporarily distance herself from the institution to prioritize her health.
"Today I have to make one of the most difficult decisions of my life. I am not going through a good time mentally and I feel like I can no longer act strong," said the soccer player in the statement she shared on her social networks.
For her part, she told the reasons that led her to make this decision: “I have been struggling with many things in silence for a long time, but today I understood that I need to stop and prioritize my health before it is too late.”.
The talented player also made clear the place Boca occupies in her life and stressed that her departure is not due to a lack of affection for the club. "Not because I don't love him, nor because I have stopped caring. On the contrary, it hurts me deeply because he is a huge part of my life and who I am," he said.
At the same time, he acknowledged that this is a difficult moment and explained that he needs to take some time to return. “I leave with a broken heart, with a lot of sadness and with tears in my eyes, but also knowing that I need to heal, find myself again and learn to be okay with myself,” she said.
Finally, she thanked all the people who accompanied her during her time at the institution and left open the possibility that this decision was just a pause: “Hopefully this is just a pause to come back stronger.”
