The Argentine National Team had a great performance against Morocco in their last game of the group stage and qualified for the round of 16 of the U17 Women's World Cup, in their first participation in the category competition.
With a hat-trick from Mercedes Diz, which adds six goals in the competition, the Albiceleste had a brilliant first half to lead to victory.
However, it all started with a goal from Morocco in just one minute, when Mouradi took advantage of a bad start from Bralo and opened the scoring. But fortunately the goal was annulled due to invasion of the area and the result remained goalless.
At 13 minutes, Violeta Álvarez sent a cross and Mercedes Diz appeared with a header to make it 1-0. River's forward scored again in the 28th minute, after taking advantage of a defensive error by the home team, to extend the lead.
Argentina maintained dominance and found the third goal in the 34th minute. Josefina Galarza, Belgrano forward, took a tremendous shot from outside the area to make it 3-0.
When it seemed that the first half was ending with that difference, Diz appeared again: in the first minute of addition he recovered from a poor start by Morocco and scored from outside the area to complete his hat-trick and leave the score 4-0 before the break.
In the second half, Morocco scored in the 57th minute through Mouradi, who made it 4-1, however Argentina did not take long to respond and, in the 72nd minute, Julieta Aguilar scored a great goal to establish the 5-1 and once again extend the National Team's advantage.
With qualification assured, Argentina is already thinking about the round of 16, where it will face the second in Group C, made up of Brazil, Canada, Norway and Ghana. The final position of the teams and the next rival of the National Team will be defined this Saturday, when the last date of the zone is played.
