After the draw in their presentation against the local team, Independiente del Valle, the Pomu Sánchez team appeared against Palmeiras, one of the candidates to win the continental title.
And things started well for the Argentine team, which took the lead in just minutes thanks to the goal from Alaides Paz, who had already scored the debut of Las Piratas.

However, Palmeiras did not take long to react and equalized it with a goal from Bia Zaneratto. Minutes later a great mid-range goal from Brena Carolina would arrive so that the Brazilian team would go into the break 2-1 up.
In the second half, the Argentine team was encouraged to seek, at least, equality, but they were unable to convert and with eight remaining, Palmeiras sentenced them with another goal from Zaneratto.
How is Group B and what does Belgrano need to qualify for the next phase of the Libertadores Femenina 2026
Belgrano adds one point in Group B, which has Palmeiras as the leader and already classified, and is third, three units below Independiente del Valle and one point above Universitario, which has not yet managed to add.
The next date, Wednesday, Las Piratas will face the Peruvian team, while Palmeiras will meet Las Dragonas.
To qualify for the next round Belgrano will have to win and hope that the local team does not do so. Of course, the results will also matter. The first tie-breaking criterion is the match between the two, and in this case it was a 1-1 tie, so the second criterion will apply, the goal difference in the preliminary phase: those from Córdoba have a goal difference of -2 and the Ecuadorians +2. so they will also depend on the shouts in each game.
