“Next year, Brazil and FIFA are going to unite the entire world in an unforgettable party, in which it will be the best women's World Cup in history, the first in South America,” said Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, at the meeting held in Copacabana. For her part, former Brazilian soccer player Formiga, who played in seven World Cups, asked for “respect” and “to have that appreciation.” In addition, he asked out loud: “Our entire country needs to applaud women's football.”

With the Cup as the protagonist, the images that will be the emblem of the competition were revealed, which is inspired by the Brazilian flag and the geometry of the soccer field, arising from the union of the letters “W” (for “Women” and “World” in English) and “M” (their equivalents in Portuguese, “Mulheres” and “World”), as they officially explained.
