This year, the Blaugrana footballer became the first footballer to win the award for the third time in a row, as both she and her teammate, Alexia Putellas, had only won twice in a row.

Another who broke a new record was Sarina Wiegman, the technical director of the England National Team who won the Euro Cup and took the award for best coach for the fifth time.

Hand in hand with the Euro Cup Hannah Hampton, the 25-year-old goalkeeper born in Birmingham, was chosen as the best of the season in her specialty for her performance in the international competition for European teams.

Finally, the Marta award for the best goal of the year, section to which Argentina's Kishi Núñez had been nominated, went to Lizbeth Ovalle, the player with the most expensive pass in history.

Ovalle was the only soccer player from the American continent to be awarded and took the trophy for the scorpion goal she scored with the Tigres shirt in the classic against Guadalajara, on March 3 of this year in the Liga MX Femenil.
