In the first match, the Albiceleste tied 1-1 with La Roja thanks to the goal of Agustina Maldonado, a River soccer player who was undoubtedly one of the most outstanding figures in the South American category that allowed the Albiceleste to qualify for the World Cup.
Days after the tie, revenge arrived and Argentina celebrated: they won the 4-3 victory against the locals. The national team's goals were scored by Agustina Maldonado, Analía Insfrán, Josefina Galarza and Mercedes Diz, another of the team's great figures.
With these two matches, the youth team added international training and finished its preparation for the Under 17 Women's World Cup, which will mean the first participation in the history of Argentina in this competition. Christian Meloni's team is in Group A along with the host team, New Zealand and Germany.
