Formative women's football took a new step with the beginning of the first AFA Women's Under 12 Tournament in history. The first date was played between Monday and Tuesday and left five matches, with two wins and three draws.

On this day, Independiente beat Banfield 2-1, while Huracán won 2-0 against UAI Urquiza. In addition, Platense and Boca Juniors tied 0-0, as did River Plate and San Lorenzo and Ferro and Racing Club.

In this first edition of the AFA Women's Under 12 Tournament, AMBA clubs participate and the matches are scheduled Monday and Tuesday, a decision designed so that the soccer players can continue with their school activities and, at the same time, compete.
The tournament is intended for players born in 2014, 2015 and 2016, with squads of between 20 and 30 players. The matches last 50 minutes, with 11 starting players and up to five substitutes.
With the first date already played, the AFA Under 12 Women's Children's Tournament began to give competitive space to the smallest categories and marks a new chapter for the growth of Argentine women's football
