We just said goodbye to the Apertura Tournament, but we now have to welcome the Clausura. With just a few days between the close of one championship and the start of the other, Argentine women's football fully entered the second and last half of the year.

Independiente and Banfield will open the Clausura in Villa Domínico on Saturday and on Sunday Belgrano will host S.A.T. There will be four disputes on Monday: Ferro vs. Talleres, San Luis against Newell's, Boca against San Lorenzo and Unión against Gimnasia.
The last confrontation of the first day will be between Huracán and River, although there is still no stipulated date for Racing to debut its title by visiting Lanús. S.A.T. wants to interrupt the rise of Belgrano, which sees the Copa Libertadores on its horizon
The second half of the year will begin with a demanding challenge for two teams that finished the Apertura Tournament on the rise. On Sunday, from 11am, Belgrano will receive S.A.T. at the Armando Pérez Premises with the intention of prolonging the great moment with which the semester closed. On the other side will be Tele, which also arrives strengthened and will seek to repeat the blow it gave in the last crossing between the two.
The Pirates finished the Apertura with four consecutive victories and a streak of seven games without losing, tying in that stretch with the leaders Racing and San Lorenzo. In addition, the team led by Mariana Sánchez is already beginning to look beyond the local tournament: in October it will represent Argentina in the Copa Libertadores Femenina thanks to the conquest of the 2025 Champions Trophy.

The end of the semester also left good feelings for both of us. Belgrano beat River 2-1 with goals from Florencia Ceballos and Mayra Acevedo, while S.A.T. defeated Ferro 2-0 through Daiana Miño and Jennifer Godoy to say goodbye with a smile. In the Apertura table, the Córdoba team finished sixth with 25 points and Tele occupied ninth place with 20 points.
However, the most recent precedent favors Moreno's team. On the first date of the Opening, S.A.T. surprised and won 1-0 thanks to the goal of Lara López, her team's top scorer in the championship, a result that cut off the momentum that Belgrano was bringing after winning the Second Tournament and the 2025 Champions Trophy. Now, the Pirates will try to get revenge.

The record, however, continues to lean towards the locals. Belgrano won three of the seven official matches, S.A.T. They were left with two and the rest equaled, with a difference of ten goals against four. In addition, the last duel played at the Armando Pérez Premises, a stage that will cross them again, ended with a 2-0 celestial victory during the Second 2025 Tournament, thanks to the goals of Guillermina Grant and Julieta Paz.

The debut in the Clausura Tournament will also put two teams face to face that ended the first semester with the feeling of being able to give more. Las Verdolagas finished tenth with 19 points, very far from the performance that led them to occupy sixth place in both championships last year. The T, on the other hand, finished fourth with 26 points, but did not manage to fully get into the fight for the title despite the ambitious transfer market that took place during the summer with the arrival of several top footballers.
The two also arrive after saying goodbye without triumphs. Ferro fell 2-0 against S.A.T., while Talleres tied 1-1 against Boca thanks to Catalina Primo's goal. For this reason, on Monday from 12 noon they will seek to quickly change the image when they face each other at the Dr. Santiago Leyden Premises.
So far they have crossed only twice and the history still does not have a clear owner. Ferro won one match and the remaining match ended tied, with a slight difference of two goals to one. The most recent precedent was precisely that of the first date of the Apertura, when they tied without goals in Córdoba.

The only victory for the Purslanes also came at home, although not on the stage that this new chapter of the rivalry will receive. That victory was on the Caballito auxiliary court, while the Dr. Santiago Leyden Premises will host a Ferro vs. Workshops.

The most attractive match of the first date will pit two of the most important clubs in Argentine women's football. Boca will host San Lorenzo in a classic that will find both with unfinished business: the Gladiadoras will try to leave behind the worst championship in their history, while the Santitas will seek to recover from the blow of losing the Apertura title on the last day.
The definition of the tournament still hurts in Boedo. Franco Bertera's team reached the decisive date sharing the top with Racing, but the 1-0 defeat against Lanús, added to the victory of the Academy in San Luis, ended up depriving it of a consecration that seemed within reach.

In La Ribera, the panorama was different, although not satisfactory either. Boca closed the Apertura seventh with 23 points, far from the places usually occupied by the top champion of Argentine women's soccer since professionalization. However, those led by Florencia Quiñones managed to finish the semester with eight games without defeats, although their last two presentations were draws: the most recent 1-1 against Talleres with a goal from Agustina Arias.
This time they will face each other on Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the Pedro Pompilio Complex. The record clearly favors Xeneize: Boca won six of the twelve official matches, San Lorenzo won three and tied the rest, with an advantage of 26 goals against 14 in favor of the Gladiators. However, the recent trend shows a much more balanced picture.

Las Santitas won two of the last three classics before the 1-1 draw they played in the first round of the Apertura, when Florencia Coronel opened the scoring and Kishi Núñez sealed the tie. On the other hand, the last time the classic was played at Casa Amarilla it ended with a resounding 4-0 win for Boca in 2024, thanks to goals from Celeste Dos Santos, Andrea Ojeda, Agustina Arias and Eliana Stabile.
