This tournament will take place from October 16 to 19 and will be a cross between four teams from the region: Gimnasia and Peñarol will be joined by Palmeiras and Gremio, both members of the host country's league. The expenses of the cup are covered by the organization, a gesture that was highlighted by the leadership of the Argentine club, since it highlights the growth of the Manada in recent times.

This competition will have only four matches to be played: semi-finals, final and the match for third place. The Ladies Cup aims to develop the women's discipline in its entirety, so, in addition to playing the matches, different activities and press conferences will be held to continue supporting the development of women's football.

Marianela González Sanz, a player from Lobo's first team who went through the youth categories at the club, told in an exclusive dialogue with FutFemGol how the great news came to them and what the international leap means to them.

"It is an opportunity that is not given to us every day. It is a reward for the work that we have been doing for several years between experienced and younger girls, which is seen in the results but also in the game and these things are important because it means that they consider us up to par," explained the soccer player.

In addition, Mare told what this news means personally. "On an individual level it is a huge opportunity for us. These international competitions are a showcase and it was a dream for us. We know that the game is different, it is going to give us other tools and we are going to learn a lot from those matches. We will try to give our best but also take as much as possible to be able to bring it to the local tournament," said the player.

Gremio was the last team to lift the trophy in the 2024 edition, which included the participation of River representing Argentina. In the third edition, the champions were the players from Inter de Porto Alegre, the second also Gremio and the inaugural edition was in the hands of Flamengo. La Manada will have a historic opportunity to win the award for the first time for an Argentine team.
