Boca and Belgrano want to regain authority: two Argentine soccer champions will meet again
Boca and Belgrano will face each other again after a precedent that was marked by the victory of the Pirates in the Apertura Tournament. Two teams that were champions of Argentine soccer will seek to make up ground in the Clausura when they meet this Saturday, from 11 a.m., at the Pedro Pompilio Complex.
The Gladiators will arrive with one less game: the Superclásico against River last date was postponed due to the contributions of the Millonarias to the Argentine National Team for the Under 20 World Cup. In their last game they tied without goals against Banfield, the current leader of the competition. For its part, Belgrano defeated Lanús 3-1 with goals from Dana Pesántez, Julieta Paz and Raquel Polich. The Córdoba team thus returned to victory, after a defeat against San Luis and a draw against Unión.

Both teams have 10 points in the Clausura, although Boca is in seventh place and Belgrano is sixth on goal difference. In the General Table they are also separated by a few points: the Xeneizes are seventh with 33 units and the Pirates appear fifth, with 35.
The record greatly favors Boca, which won five of the eight official matches, while there were two draws and one victory for Belgrano. However, the most recent precedent was for the Córdoba team: on May 16, for the seventh round of the Apertura, they won 1-0 at the Armando Pérez Comprehensive Sports Training Center thanks to Micaela Bulacio's goal. Among the protagonists will be Julieta Lema, one of Boca's additions for this championship and scorer of a goal against Racing on the second date. On the other side will be Raquel Polich, a forward with a past in the Gladiators and recent reinforcement of Belgrano, who has just scored her first goal with the light blue shirt against Lanús.

Banfield is the only leader of the Clausura Tournament and will have a demanding test to defend the top. El Taladro will visit Talleres this Saturday from 3 p.m., at La Boutique Stadium, in a duel that will also have weight in the fight above. The Matadoras are going through a good moment: they defeated Gimnasia La Plata 2-1 in their last appearance, with goals from Juana Fonseca and Josefina Félix, and achieved their second consecutive victory. In addition, they extended their undefeated streak to five games.

For its part, Banfield returned to victory after the goalless draw against Boca. They beat Ferro Carril Oeste 2-1 with goals from Gabriela Valdez Funes and Tatiana Sarmiento and have three wins in their last four games. The good present of both is also reflected in the General Table: Talleres occupies fourth place with 37 points, while Taladro appears sixth with 35. In the Clausura, the Córdobans are fourth with 11 units and those from the South lead with 13.
The history between the two is short and favors Talleres, who won two of the three official matches. Banfield won on one occasion. The most recent precedent was precisely on the seventh date of Apertura 2026: the Matadoras won 1-0 at the Luis Guillón Premises, with a goal from Azul Ludueña. It will also be the first official duel between the two in Córdoba.

Josefina Félix will be one of the players to follow. The Uruguayan winger has just scored the winning goal against Gimnasia and has been scoring in two consecutive games. In Banfield, Tatiana Sarmiento is also on the rise: she scored the agonizing comeback against Ferro, reached four goals in the year and has three in the Clausura, a figure she shares with Antonella Estigarribia as the team's top scorers in the tournament.
Huracán and Lanús will measure their strength in a duel that could mark the race for permanence
The fight for permanence will have one of its most important crossroads on this seventh date. Huracán and Lanús will face each other this Saturday from 3:30 p.m. at the Lorenzo Francisco D'Angelo Sports Center, with only a minimal difference between them in both tables. In the Clausura, the Quemeras are eleventh with seven points and the Granates appear twelfth with six.
The situation is even more sensitive in the General Table: Huracán occupies twelfth place with 21 units and Lanús is 13th, also with 21. Both also arrive after defeats. Huracán fell 2-0 against San Luis FC, with goals from Melina Salinas and Victoria Vázquez, and suffered its second loss in three games after the draw against Unión. Lanús, meanwhile, was beaten 3-1 by Belgrano and lost its second consecutive game.

The most recent antecedent between the two ended in a tie. On the seventh date of the Apertura, Huracán and Lanús tied 0-0 in La Quemita. The general record favors Globo, which won two of the four official matches, while there was a draw and a victory for Garnet. Curiously, they never officially faced each other on the stage where they will play this Saturday.
The match will also have several personal crossings. Belén Abreu, Huracán forward with a past in Lanús, came to Globo in this market from Ferro and already scored two goals against Independiente on the fourth date. There will also be Bianca Verón, a defender with a past in the Granates.
