San Lorenzo fell by the wayside in the Group Stage of the Conmebol Libertadores 2025 and Boca in the quarterfinals, where they lost to the last champion, Corinthians.
Now that the Group Phase and the quarterfinals have finished, the Conmebol Libertadores 2025 enters its decisive stage, this time without Argentine teams in competition.

San Lorenzo was eliminated before moving on to the Final Phase after losing 1-0 to Colo-Colo, one of the candidate teams for the title. Boca, for its part, had advanced to the quarterfinals, but faced the difficult challenge of facing Corinthians, current two-time champion of the tournament. The Gladiators fell 4-0 at the Nuevo Francisco Urbano stadium, in Morón, and said goodbye to the Libertadores.
As for the other quarterfinal matches, in addition to Corinthians, Colo-Colo qualified for the next round after beating Libertad of Paraguay with a single goal from Mary Valencia. The Chileans will face Deportivo Cali in the semifinals, the Colombian team that eliminated one of the Brazilians in the competition, São Paulo, after winning with goals from Nisa Martínez and Andrea García Cáceres.
On the other hand, Corinthians' rivals will be their compatriots from Ferroviária, a team that shared a group with Boca and that in the quarterfinals beat Alianza Lima 3 to 0, with goals from Raquel Domingues Batista, Natália Coelho and Andressa Pereira.
The semifinals will be played this Wednesday at the Florencio Sola stadium, in Banfield. The first match will be played at 4:00 p.m., between Colo-Colo and Deportivo Cali, while the second will begin at 8:00 p.m., with the duel between Corinthians and Ferroviária. As it is, we already know that the final will have a Brazilian team.
