The AFA ruled on the claim made by Lanús after Belgrano made six changes in the match between the two corresponding to date 6 of the 2026 Clausura Tournament.
Through the resolution published in Bulletin 6945, the Disciplinary Court communicated that it rejects "the framing of said infraction as "improper alignment" in the terms of article 18 of the Disciplinary Code" and that, consequently, it rejects "Club Atlético Lanús' claim to be awarded the match, maintaining the result obtained on the field of play: Club Atlético Belgrano de Córdoba 3 - Club Atlético Lanús 1".
The explanation given by the Argentine Football Association is that Lanús' request was for improper alignment and that this does not apply in this case because "the soccer player who entered the field of play as a sixth substitute was duly registered and qualified, was regularly included in the match through the COMET System and did not register any disciplinary sanction or any regulatory impediment that affected her eligibility."
In its ruling, the Disciplinary Court adds that "therefore, a distinction must be made between the eligibility of the soccer player and the regularity of the procedure used to specify her entry onto the field of play. The proven infraction does not lie in the fact that a disqualified or ineligible soccer player had participated, but in that the Club Atlético Belgrano de Córdoba exceeded the maximum number of substitutions authorized by the competition regulations."
Finally, they reported that it was decided to "sanction the Club Atlético Belgrano de Córdoba with a fine equivalent to two hundred (200) v.e., due to the proven regulatory infraction and in accordance with the powers of determination and graduation of disciplinary measures that correspond to this Court", which means that the Córdoba team is fined with money equivalent to the price of 200 general tickets.
