The Women's Apertura Tournament once again gave us a spectacular delivery of its football and from FutFemGol we want to relive some gems from date 3, which left River, Racing and Banfield as leaders of the championship with an ideal score, but also a series of curiosities to highlight.

To begin with, all the games had goals and, except for Boca, no visitor managed to win.
The day began on Friday with the victory that San Lorenzo gave to Talleres and continued on Saturday with Belgrano's victory over Independiente.
On Sunday, with a morning duel and three others simultaneously, River beat Unión, Racing beat Ferro, S.A.T. and Huracán divided the points and Boca beat Newell's. Already on Monday, Gimnasia beat Lanús and Banfield beat San Luis FC.

San Lorenzo received Talleres and decorated Juana Fonseca
Ciudad Deportiva hosted one of the most attractive matches of date 3: San Lorenzo thrashed Talleres with two goals from Camila López and the debut in the nets for Emily Arias as Santita. However, the most emotional moment occurred in the moments before the match and featured Juana Fonseca.
The 21-year-old forward was transferred this year to Talleres after having spent her entire career in Ciclón. For this reason, at Ciudad Deportiva they received her with recognition for her years at the club, where she scored 30 official goals. Although there was no Ex Law, the talented promise was a starter and posed a constant danger to her former teammates.
Belgrano debuted as champion at home: victory against Independiente and party in Córdoba
The championship is in its third day, but the current champion had not yet been reunited with his people: after visiting S.A.T. and Huracán, Belgrano returned to Córdoba to beat Independiente in the CIFD Armando Pérez, where they were received with a party amid colored smoke and cheers.
Although it was not at the Julio César Villagra Stadium, where on December 14 they lifted the Cup after beating Racing 2-1 (aggregate) in the final, the Pirates became strong at home and narrowly beat Independiente thanks to Arianna Reche's goal.
The curious rain of goals from River to Unión
River's goals fell like rain throughout Buenos Aires and, with them, several curiosities with striking backgrounds occurred.
Las Millonarias beat Tatengue 6-1 and won their first game by five or more goals in the local tournament since October 2024, when they beat Excursionistas 9-1 at the Bajo Belgrano Coliseum. River Camp had not seen a victory of this kind since the 7-0 that the locals scored, also against Excursionistas, on June 7 of that same year.

Julieta Romero, a player who only had one goal in the First Division (in the away win over S.A.T. in November 2024), opened the scoring with a double.
In addition, Paloma Fagiano extended the advantage with another double, a mark that she had not achieved since June 12, 2024, in the Apertura, for River's 2-1 against Gimnasia in Estancia Chica.
For their part, Kimberlyn Campos and Mercedes Pereyra sealed the win. While the Venezuelan scored her second consecutive goal, Bebo joined Rocío Bueno in the short list of scorers with at least one goal in each and every one of the 11 tournaments played, since professionalism became official, to date.
An important fact to highlight is that Nicolás Loncharich lined up no less than seven players from River among his starters: Lara Esponda, Sofía Quiroga, Camila Duarte, Juana Cángaro, Francisca Altgelt, Julieta Romero and Mercedes Diz.
Racing repeated the team, beat Ferro and celebrated Dolores Maregatti's 100 games
The Academy established itself as one of the most solid teams of the season and repeated its lineup for the third time in a row (it is the only team in the tournament that has not yet changed its starters). With a goal against Maricel González, ex-Racing, and another from Sindy Ramírez, those led by Héctor Bracamonte left the three points at home.
Beyond the victory, Racing gave the mark for a valuable gesture. Just as San Lorenzo honored Juana Fonseca, the Academy highlighted Dolores Maregatti for reaching 100 games in the club's Primera. Color fact: the 23-year-old midfielder is the first player made at Tita Mattiussi to reach this number of games.
S.A.T. and Huracán starred in the only tie of the date
Few matches were as close as this one, although S.A.T. and Huracán had not equaled since April 2023. Macarena Latorre ahead of the visitor, but Angie Gómez immediately tied on TV. The ex-Banfield player had not scored since September 2023, a match in which she had scored her only goal in the First Division, when she was playing for Lanús, in the defeat against Estudiantes.
Between those led by Nicolás Basualdo and the Quemeras there was the only equality of the day, apart from being the second consecutive tie for S.A.T. and Huracán's first point so far in the championship.
The defenders scored the goals between Newell's and Boca in Rosario
Although they played luxury forwards, such as Brisa De Ángelis, Kishi Núñez and Érica Lonigro, apart from gems such as Julieta Aguilar, Verónica Acuña and Yuliana Sanabria, this time the goals came from the last line.
The Gladiators took the lead with goals from Camila Baccaro and Julieta Cruz, a defender and winger who had not scored since the 2024 Clausura Tournament. For their part, Newell's ended up scoring thanks to María Victoria Vives, who had not scored at all last year.
Conclusive win by Gimnasia against Lanús in El Bosquecito
Coming to the end of the day, the Pack became strong at home and did not forgive Lanús. Florencia Gaetán opened the scoring by scoring her third consecutive goal in the three dates played, and Eliana Stabile stretched the lead by scoring again since November 2024. The 'Zurda''s last goal had been in Boca, coincidentally, against her current team.
Triumph and excitement for Banfield, dismay and concern in San Luis
Banfield climbed to the top with an ideal score, like River and Racing, in the last game of the date. Macarena Ávila gave Taladro the lead with what was her second goal for the South club and Tatiana Sarmiento sealed the score with her first goal in Primera, which had a special dedication: she raised her shirt and thus remembered her best friend Santi.

For its part, San Luis is thinking about trying to reverse an adverse present: the Puntanas have only added three victories in their last 10 games and, so far in the championship, they have not achieved any victory.
