The day left Racing and San Lorenzo sharing the top of the table, dethroning River, in addition to an innumerable series of curiosities to highlight.

Lanús defeated Unión with a great goal from Anabella Verón on Saturday, at the opening of the match. During Sunday there were two ties: S.A.T. tied 2-2 with San Luis (Virginia Coronel and Valeria Fernández; María Miranda and against) and Belgrano could not take advantage with Talleres in the Córdoba classic.

That same day San Lorenzo dethroned River in its own fortress - thanks to the knowledge of Emily Arias - and Gimnasia came back agonizingly against Newell's (Azul Oszczyk and Maia Farías; Fabiana Hernández).

Three simultaneous games closed the ninth day on Monday, in which Racing thrashed Banfield with a double from Marleidy Cossio and the same from Dolores Maregatti, Bianca Recanati gave Boca the victory in their visit to Independiente and Huracán tied without goals with Ferro.

The FutFemGol gems from date 9 of the 2026 Apertura Tournament

San Lorenzo struck the blow, ending River's undefeated record at home and anchoring themselves at the top of the Apertura Tournament

Before date 9 River was the only team that had reached the middle of the Women's Apertura Tournament without knowing defeat. Leader with 20 points, he received his second team San Lorenzo - with 19 points - in a true “early final” with the flavor of a historical classic.

With the presence of several returnees from the Argentine National Team, such as Solana Pereyra among the Santitas or Lara Esponda, Mercedes Diz and Francisca Altgelt in the Millonarias, two candidates for the title who are on the cutting edge met in Ezeiza.

After a match as intense as it was divided, Emily Arias gave San Lorenzo the first victory at the River Camp since professionalism became official. That was his fourth official goal in the Ciclón and in our country, 3 of them in the last 4 games. The forward, who has just reserved a place in the Brazil 2027 playoff with the Ecuadorian National Team, equaled Débora Molina and Delfina Pafundi, her team's top scorers, in goals.

River had not fallen since December 6 of last year, more than six months ago. On that date they lost against Belgrano at the Gigante de Alberdi in the Semifinal of the Second 2025 Tournament. At home, the Millonarias began their undefeated streak much earlier, since April, when they were beaten 5-2 by Talleres in Ezeiza. San Lorenzo, for its part, added its fourth consecutive victory, scoring 13 goals in the last 4 games, and that night it slept as the only leader in the championship.

Now, the leadership of the Apertura Tournament was once again shared between San Lorenzo and Racing, who are equal on 22 points. The only defeat for the Santitas was, precisely, against the Acadómicas, who will host River on the next day. The Millonarias regretted their first fall and first game without scoring in the championship, that is true, but they are still well profiled for the final stretch of the contest.

Gimnasia and Boca returned to victory: in two great games, they defeated Newell's and Independiente

Two candidates for the title that faded as the championship progressed were Gimnasia and Boca who, despite the weight of the hierarchies that their teams boast, had gone 4 and 3 games without wins respectively. The last victory of the Pack had been, coincidentally, at the home of Xeneize back on the fourth day, while the Gladiators had won their visit to Banfield on the following date.

Boca recovered from the falls with River and Belgrano in their last goalless draw against Huracán, although it continued to sink in a sea of doubts. For its part, Gimnasia had just suffered two 1-4 defeats against San Lorenzo and Racing and had previously lost to Talleres, after drawing at home with Ferro.

Wrapped in concern they faced Newell's and Independiente and the truth is that they did not have it easy at all. Las Leprosas took the lead against Gimnasia with a goal from Fabiana Hernández, their first official goal in the top category, while Las Diablas came out well planted trying to extend their 4-match unbeaten streak against Boca.

The panorama began to become clearer for the Pack with the tie of Azul Oszczyk, who only had 4 goals in First Division and had not scored since October 2024, in the defeat that Gimnasia gave to San Luis on date 12 of the Clausura Tournament. Bianca Recanati opened the scoring for the Gladiators, with her debut in the nets since her return to Boca and scoring her third official goal in the semi-professional era.

Recanati's only sacred cry in the

Returning to the other match in question, Gimnasia turned it around to Newell's in agony watching Maia Farías' first official goal. In this way, the Pack left the Rosario team 14th, with its 7 points, and equaled Talleres in 14 units, with whom it shares 5th place in the table. Thus, both those led by Silvana Villalobos and Florencia Quiñones' team regained confidence by straightening their paths in the Women's Apertura Tournament.

Racing overwhelmed Banfield and grabbed the top of the table while waiting for River

Inspired by San Lorenzo's victory against River and knowing that they will soon face the Millonarias, Racing visited Banfield with a specific mission: to remove another candidate from the Women's Apertura Tournament from the race for the title. El Taladro, 4th in the standings, could be considered the last of the first or the first of the laggards in the championship, so against the Academicas they starred in a decisive match.

Determinant was also the conviction of Racing, which mercilessly beat Banfield. The opening of the scoreboard was confusing, after a lofted center that Rocío Bueno combed and ended up deflecting off Macarena Ávila. Sindy Ramírez seemed to touch the ball, and with that goal she would have consolidated herself as the top scorer of the championship, but finally the goal was awarded. In any case, a while later another figure from the Academy established herself as the top scorer of the contest, although it was not the Uruguayan.

Marleidy Cossio stretched Racing's advantage by applying the inexorable Law of Ex with a double, his second in a row. She had just scored two goals against Gimnasia in the 4-1 win by the Academy, and the Colombian reached 14 sacred shouts in Argentina. In addition, the ex-Banfield player consolidated herself with 5 goals as the most lethal scorer of the entire tournament, leaving behind a squad of up to 8 players with 4 goals.

Finally, Dolores Maregatti scored her first goal of the season. The one that emerged in Racing reached its seventh score in First and had not scored since April of last year in the victory by the minimum difference against Platense (date 11 of the First Tournament 2025). Thus, Banfield added its third defeat in a row, since it had just lost against Talleres and San Lorenzo, conceding 7 goals in 2 games.

Banfield remained 4th with 15 points, but is already 7 units behind the leaders Racing and San Lorenzo with 6 games ahead. For their part, those led by Héctor Bracamonte will soon receive River, who lost their undefeated record against Santitas, and are excited to fight until the end of the championship. Gimnasia y Talleres were expectant, in a more compromising situation, running from behind in the race for the title although, like Taladro, they were already behind the first places in the table.
