The soccer players from the Banfield squad published a statement on social networks in which they denounced racism after a comment made on TikTok by the player Nazareth Dos Santos, from Independiente.
In the post they published they also shared a screenshot of the message that was written by the former Boca in a video in which a cross is seen on the field between some players from Rojo and Ana María Ramírez and Camila Marques, from Taladro, in the match for the group stage of the Winter Cup.
“The color of wet cardboard,” was the comment that Dos Santos made in the video that she herself uploaded to her social network.

After seeing this message, the Banfield players wrote a defense that people on Instagram shared on their accounts. "As players we are not going to remain silent or naturalize these types of comments. At Banfield we repudiate all forms of racial discrimination," they wrote and added: "On and off the field we are all part of the same game."
