Por Redacción FutFemGolMay 8, 2026

With changes in the leadership and interesting crosses, the Women's Apertura Tournament continues its journey with extremely attractive duels to enjoy.

The Torneo Apertura Femenino 2026 will see its sixth episode next weekend, although it will be left looking forward to the Superclásico, which was postponed due to the large number of players that the Millonario has in the South American Sub 17 - there is no confirmed date yet. Of course, the championship will also vibrate with other unmissable disputes.

In that sense, Racing will seek to escape alone at the top of the Apertura Tournament against S.A.T., taking into account that the Boca-River was postponed. For its part, Gimnasia will try to defend its undefeated record on its visit to Talleres, while San Lorenzo will host Newell's among many notable duels on the sixth day.

In this context, FutFemGol chose the three most attractive matches on date 6 of the Women's Apertura Tournament and prepares you for similar duels with the most relevant data.

Racing does not want to give up the lead and S.A.T. you need to regain confidence

Racing beat San Lorenzo last weekend and climbed to the top of the Women's Apertura Tournament alongside River. Thanks to the fall of Banfield against Boca and the postponement of the Superclásico, if the Acadómicas surpass S.A.T. They will finish the sixth date as the only leaders.

Adding 13 points, Racing lies 1st in the table, while S.A.T. It shares 11th place with Ferro, with 5 units. Agostina Holzheier scored the goal of the leaders' most recent victory against San Lorenzo and Tele fell being surprised by Independiente thanks to Ailén Sosa's goal.

S.A.T., then, after a promising start to the campaign and a subsequent obvious setback, will seek to strike the blow to dethrone Racing and see the championship burn. The last time they officially met was a goalless draw in March 2025, more than a year ago. Coincidentally, it took place at the Tita Mattiussi - the scene of the next dispute.

The aforementioned was the second tie between them, out of 8 official matches between both in the semi-professional era. The other 5 were won by Racing and the remaining one went to S.A.T. Those led by Nicolás Basualdo want to regain confidence, but they will not have it easy: they lose 17 to 7 in historic goals and have not beaten the Academy since April 2024.

As it is, a tough confrontation awaits with some old familiar faces. Carolina Sailer, who saved for many years in S.A.T., will defend Racing's three suits. The Bahia native will try to contain the dangerous attacks of one of her former teammates, Vanina Bruzzone, who came from Tita Mattiussi and is also a native of Bahía Blanca.

San Luis and Huracán will measure what they are for and will seek to confirm their promising rise

Seeing their performances in the last championships and comparing the hierarchy of their squads, it is not unreasonable to think that San Luis and Huracán will rub shoulders in the middle of the table until the end of the Women's Apertura Tournament. In that sense, this duel between Puntanas and Quemeras can be crucial for them to measure their strength against a direct rival.

Today, the two teams enjoy an encouraging present. San Luis comes from surprising and beating Belgrano 2-0 in Córdoba - its first victory of the competition - with a goal against and another goal from Victoria Vázquez. Huracán, also inspired, achieved its second consecutive victory against Unión with a great goal from Ludmila Díaz.

San Luis surpasses Huracán in history since they tied once, although the Puntanas won 3 times. They never played in Villa Deportiva, which will host their next match, and in September of last year, Melina Salinas scored the only goal of the Cuyonas' victory in La Quemita, during the last precedent of this rivalry.

However, Huracán is better positioned in the table. While San Luis is equal on 6 points with Talleres, with whom it shares 9th place, Huracán is 6th along with Boca and Belgrano adding 7 units. In addition, the emotional boost from Globo's victories against Independiente and Unión makes the Quemeras travel with confidence to visit the Puntanas.

Huracán, apart, has three figures who knew how to be important in San Luis: Tiziana Hartivig, Agostina Gulino and Macarena Latorre -current top scorer on her team-. Up front they will have Vázquez, who has scored 2 consecutive goals and since last year is establishing herself as one of the most dangerous forwards in our league. Without a doubt, a duel as even as it is unmissable.

Workshops - Gymnastics: the promise of the Apertura Tournament in the face of the reality of a firm process

After 3 draws and 1 loss, Talleres beat Newell's and thus added their first victory of the Women's Apertura Tournament. Their next objective is to achieve victory, but they will have a very difficult stop: Gimnasia, the only undefeated team in the championship, taking out the leaders River and Racing.

During the last few years, Gimnasia has become accustomed to hanging around in the top zone of all the championships, sowing belonging and supporting a base of figures that it still enjoys in its maximum splendor, such as Florencia Gaetán or Lali Esquivel, among others. Talleres, for its part, signed up as a candidate for the title very recently, with the last transfer market.

By strengthening itself with players of the caliber of Romina Núñez, Agustina Vargas and Juana Fonseca, to give some examples, Talleres aimed high this season. However, it has not yet taken off, since it is 9th with 6 points, along with San Luis, and wants to shake Gimnasia, well placed in 4th place with 11 points.

El Lobo won the only 2 times it met Talleres and the last one was at the same headquarters that you will find them on this date: La Boutique. On that occasion they won 3-1, at the end of August last year, with goals from Micaela Adorno and the aforementioned Esquivel and Gaetán. In the T he discounted a former Matadora who today makes up the Pack, Juana Souto.

Although their current positions in the table and history favor Gimnasia, Talleres is much better suited. After beating Newell's 4-0 as a visitor, they aroused an optimism that is in direct contrast to the feelings that left La Manada's goalless draw against Ferro.

The truth is that the goals of Catalina Primo, Pilar González and Azul Ludueña ignited the engine of a Talleres that wants to go from being a promise to being a reality. For that, it has in its ranks two figures who until a few weeks ago played in Gimnasia and know their next rivals in detail: Agustina Aguilera and Belén Ludueña.
