From 2019 until the 2024 edition the prize for the champions increased by 1,181%: in the edition held in Buenos Aires they were distributed $3,650,000 among the participating teams.
Of that amount, the champion took home two million dollars. For its part, Deportivo Cali, runner-up, received $600,000 and Ferroviaria, third, took $250,000.

Regarding the prize for participation, each team received $50,000 for having qualified and competed in the continental competition.
Conmebol Libertadores Awards: the differences between the male and female competition
In March of this year Alejandro Domínguez, president of Conmebol, declared that he wanted competitive South American football and that is why he would increase the Libertadores prizes, but in men's football.
In that sense, in the group stage, the participating teams took home 1 million dollars. For their part, those who reached the round of 16 received US$ 1,250,000. Later in the competition, in the quarterfinals, the clubs received US$1,700,000 while in the semifinals the amount was US$2,300,000, an amount higher than that received by the champions in this women's edition.
Regarding the champion of this edition of the men's Conmebol Libertadores, whoever wins the trophy will receive 24 million dollars as a prize.
It should be noted that, although Conmebol is still very far from equaling the awards in the same discipline, there were some structural advances in this edition: on the one hand, the teams warmed up on the fields, something that the players had been demanding for a long time; On the other hand, VAR was implemented for the first time in all matches, from the group stage to the final.
In addition, this edition of the competition opened a door for teams to compete internationally at the club level. And Corinthians, to win the title, will have the opportunity to face the best from other continents in the Champions Cup, which will have its inauguration next year.
