The end of the championship is approaching and we will tell you when and where the first legs of the semifinals of the Second Women's Tournament 2025 will be played.

This weekend the semifinals of the Second Women's Tournament 2025 will begin to be played. In this phase, the matches will be round-trip just like the final. The qualifiers of the quarterfinals were Racing, River, Boca and Belgrano, with two of the matches decided in the penalty shootout.

How did the teams reach the semifinals?

The first confirmed semi-finalist was Racing. The Academicas beat San Lorenzo in the quarterfinals at Ciudad Deportiva with a single goal from Rocío Bueno. The Avellaneda team entered the Playoffs, placing 8th in the general table. Héctor Bracamonte's team wants to achieve the first official title in the history of the club's Women's First Division.

The second of those classified was River with Lara Esponda as a figure. The Millonarias played in Córdoba against Talleres and, after the game ended tied at zero in the 90 minutes, River's goalkeeper saved three shots on goal for her team to continue in the competition. Despite having had an irregular year, today they have the opportunity to once again establish themselves in a local tournament after almost 10 years since the 2017 championship.

The third semi-finalists were defined between Boca and Gimnasia at Casa Amarilla, where Kishi Núñez, nominated for the Marta Awards, scored the goal that gave the Gladiators the victory to advance to the next round. In this championship, Boca only lost the first match against Newell’s, current champion of women's football in the country.

Finally, those who won the ticket to the semis were the Pirates. Belgrano and Ferro met at the Gigante de Alberdi, where they tied zero to zero and Agustina Sánchez, the Uruguayan goalkeeper, blocked two of the penalties that Ferro kicked and was in charge of converting the last one to advance to the next round.
