Two zones, one objective: the format of the Second Women's First Division Tournament 2025
The championship is divided into two zones: Zone A, made up of 9 teams and with a total of 8 dates, and Zone B, with 8 teams and 7 days. In both cases, they will face each other within their zone with a schedule that has already been drawn. Then,
Then will come the First Phase, which will be played by the teams located from 3rd to 6th place in each of the Zones ("A" and "B"), whose confrontations will be a single match and according to the following detail:

The First Phase instance will be played in the Stadium of the best located club. In case of equality after the 90 regulation minutes, the definition will be by penalties. Subsequently, the four teams classified from the First Phase are added to the teams located in 1st and 2nd positions in each of the Zones. To determine the matchups in this instance, a “General Table of Average Positions” will be formed between both Zones (total points obtained divided by the number of games played) that will be ordered from 1st to 8th.
The quarterfinal matches will be 1st with 8th, 2nd with 7th, 3rd with 6th and 4th with 5th. The quarterfinals will be played in the stadium of the best-located club and, in the event of a tie at the end of the 90 regulation minutes, the definition will be through the execution of kicks from the penalty spot.

The four winning teams from the quarterfinals will qualify. To determine the matchups in this instance, a “General Table of Positions by Averages” will be formed, taking into account first the position in the table of their respective zone, then the number of points obtained, goal difference, goals scored and, finally, draw, all successively.
The confrontations will be 1st with 4th and 2nd with 3rd. In this case, the semis will be played in a double match, home and away, with the best-placed team in the “General Table of Positions” acting as home team in the second match. If at the end of the second ninety minutes the number of points and the goal difference are equal, the definition will be through the execution of kicks from the penalty spot.
This is how the final of the Second Women's First Division Tournament 2025 will be played
The winners of the semi-finals will play it in a double match, home and away, with the same criteria as the semis. The winner of this match will be consecrated Champion of the “Second Tournament 2025”.
At stake: title and passage to the Libertadores
The champion of the Second Women's First Division Tournament 2025 will earn the right to play a defining match for a place in the Copa Libertadores Femenina 2026 against Newell's, which won the First Tournament. If the same team wins both tournaments, it will qualify directly for the continental competition, without needing to play in that final.
A decisive stretch of the season
In addition to the jackpot, the Second Tournament will be decisive in the average table that defines three relegations to the First B. For the calculation only the points obtained in the regular phases of the First and Second Tournament are taken into account (playoffs are excluded).
