Annika Paz made her debut in the Argentine National Team with a goal, on the second round of the Nations League against Uruguay, and shared her emotion after the game.
The Argentine National Team traveled to Montevideo to face Uruguay for the second date of the Conmebol Nations League at the Centenario Stadium. The Albiceleste was behind twice but managed to equalize the match with goals from Maricel Pereyra and Annika Paz. The River player, at only 16 years old, debuted with the light blue and white shirt and scored the tying goal at the end for Argentina to take an important point.
After the game, the young Millonario player told her feelings and seemed very happy after the angelic debut. "A lot of happiness, I'm very happy. Debuting like this is unique, I couldn't even imagine it in my dreams," she told FutFemGol, who was present in Uruguay.
In addition, Annika talked about her colleagues and references, such as Bon Segundo, Cometti and Solana Pereyra. "I couldn't talk much with the older ones, but they gave me confidence and support. They were always there for me, they are my idols. Two weeks ago I saw them on TV and today playing with them is unique," he said and highlighted: "I admire them a lot and I try to learn from them every day. They gave me peace of mind and confidence."

Her teammates also referred to this great moment for River's youth. Yamila Rodríguez, one of the National Team's historic players, told FutFemGol: "I'm very happy. I spoke a little with her at the (AFA) Predio and she asked me how long I had been in the National Team, I told her it's been a while. I also told her that she has a job: just as I was the top scorer in the South American Under 20, she has that job, and I think she took it seriously because she debuted with a goal, ha."
Paulina Gramaglia joined in the praise and said that Paz “is one of the youngest on the squad and is super professional, she has a huge future” and then added: “We are super happy for that goal which also gave us the tie.”
Finally, Maricel Pereyra also congratulated her in front of the cameras, both her and Abril Reche, who also made her debut as a starter in the National Team in the Centennial. "She is daring because she made her debut and with a goal. Happy for her and for Reche's debut, she adds a lot to the group," exclaimed the 10.
