The Argentine National Team achieved a key victory against Mexico, on the last date of the group stage of the 2026 U-20 World Cup being held in Poland, and secured its qualification for the round of 16 of the U-20 Women's World Cup.
The team led by Christian Meloni began the match in search of victory and managed to take the lead with the goal of Annika Paz. However, Mexico reacted and managed to turn the result around before half-time, so Argentina went into halftime at a disadvantage.

In addition, the National Team went out in search of a comeback. And that was when Alma Velasco Heim appeared to score the tie and restore the hope to the Argentine team.
The match was heading towards a close full of tension, but Argentina struck again at the end: Dolores Delgado converted the third goal of the Albiceleste and sealed the final 3-2.
With this victory, Argentina finished second in Group A, qualified for the round of 16 of the U-20 World Cup and, in addition, achieved a historic feat: winning two matches in FIFA's highest football competition.
