The Argentine National Team began its participation in the South American Under 20 Women's 2026, a competition that grants four places to the 2026 World Cup, with an important 2-1 victory against Ecuador for date 2 of Group B.
After having the first free date, those led by Christian Meloni defeated the Ecuadorian team at the Emiliano Ghezzi stadium, in Asunción, thanks to the goals of Kishi Núñez, who made the partial 1-0, and Annika Paz, who with a great goal in the second half declared the final 2-1 (Rosa Flores had equalized in the first half).

In this way the Albiceleste added its first three points in Group B (it has only one match), where Brazil leads with two victories. For its part, Peru also has three units while Ecuador and Bolivia have no points.
The second match of the Argentine National Team in the South American Women's Sub 20 will be this Monday, at 6:00 p.m., against Peru at the Luis Alfonso Giagni stadium.
