There is exactly one year left until the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 begins, a competition that will be held in Brazil from next June 24 and in which Argentina has already secured its place.

Important dates: when the 2027 Women's World Cup starts and ends
FIFA has already defined the schedule so that you can schedule the days of pure football. The opening match will be on Thursday, June 24, 2027, while the grand final will take place on Sunday, July 25 at the legendary Maracaná Stadium.

One by one, the eight venues for the Brazil 2027 Women's World Cup
The tournament will be held in 8 cities:
- Rio de Janeiro (Maracana Stadium - opening match and final)
- Belo Horizonte (Mineirão Stadium)
- Brasilia (National Stadium)
- Fortress (Arena Castelão)
- Porto Alegre (Beira-Rio Stadium)
- Recife (Pernambuco Sand)
- Salvador (Fonte Nova Arena)
- São Paulo (Itaquera Arena)
Teams qualified for the 2027 Women's World Cup: who already has their place?
The tournament will maintain the format of 32 teams divided into 8 groups of 4 teams each. The distribution of places will be as follows:
- AFC: six direct places
- CAF: four direct places
- Concacaf: four direct places
- CONMEBOL: three direct places. Brazil, the host country, qualifies automatically and its place is subtracted directly from the quota assigned to CONMEBOL
- OFC: a direct place
- UEFA: 11 direct places
The three remaining places will be decided in an intercontinental qualifying tournament that we will tell you about later.

So far there are 14 countries that have secured their place in the next FIFA Women's World Cup.
- CONMEBOL (South America): Brazil (host), Argentina and Colombia.
- UEFA (Europe): Spain (defending champion), Germany, Denmark and France.
- AFC (Asia): Japan, China, Australia, South Korea, North Korea and the Philippines.
- OFC (Oceania): New Zealand
Repechage towards the 2027 Women's World Cup
It will be an intercontinental qualifying tournament whose first phase will take place in November and December 2026 in a single venue in which six teams will participate, whose order will be determined based on the edition of the FIFA Women's World Ranking prior to the tournament draw.
The first two National Teams will access the second phase of the qualifying tournament, which will be played in February 2027 in a single venue and will be joined by two representatives from Concacaf, one from CONMEBOL and another from UEFA. The six teams will compete in three different matches, in direct elimination matches that will decide the three teams qualified for the 2027 World Cup.
So far the teams confirmed in the Qualifying Tournament are Chinese Taipei, Uzbekistan, Papua New Guinea, Venezuela and Ecuador.
