The match was played at the Defensores del Chaco stadium, in Paraguay, and was vibrant from start to finish.

Argentina started ahead on the scoreboard thanks to a goal from Mercedes Diz, one of the figures of the competition, however Verdeamarela quickly reached the tie.

Later, before the first half ended, the Brazilian team struck twice: first with a penalty goal from Helena Rodrigues and then a scream from Nicolly.

In the complement, those led by Christian Meloni constantly sought to reduce the differences, although Brazil would not stop attacking.

Thus, there was a back-and-forth match with many emotions, which would have one more shout for the Albicleste thanks to the goal from Josefina Galarza, who was only 14 years old.

However, the National Team failed to reach a tie and ended up being runner-up in the 2026 South American Under 17 Women's Championship.

Thus, the Albiceleste managed to qualify for the first time in its history to the Under 17 Women's World Cup, which this time will be played from October 17 to November 7 in Morocco and will have six groups of four teams each.
