The Argentine National Team lost 1-0 against Ecuador in its second appearance in the Final Phase of the South American Women's Sub 20 that is held in Paraguay and which distributes four places for the World Cup of the category that will take place this year, in Poland.

After finishing the Group Phase with an ideal score and after a historic victory against Brazil, those led by Christian Meloni tied against Venezuela and added their first defeat in the competition, against the Tri, national team whom they had beaten 2-1 in the Group Stage.

Although the first half played at the CARFEM Stadium in Ypané was even, Josenka Vélez made it 1-0, which would end up being the definitive result at the end of the first 45 minutes.
In the second half the Albiceleste pressed and tried with all their weapons to achieve, at least, a draw but they could not score and for now they have only one unit of six in the final hexagonal.
The next match will be none other than against Brazil, leader of the Final Phase along with Ecuador, on Sunday, February 22 at 8 p.m. at the Luis Alfonso Giagni Stadium, in Villa Elisa.
