Mili Martin on the Copa América: “We feel capable of competing against those rivals”

The Argentine National Team player passed through Ojo el Caño after the Copa América and before emigrating to football in Spain.

After obtaining third place in the Copa América 2025 with the Argentine National Team, Milagros Martín went through Ojo el Caño and reviewed not only what the Albiceleste had done in Ecuador, but also what was to come for her: her first step in Spanish football.

The young two-time champion with Newell's had announced her departure from the Rosario club and is now a new Tenerife player. Given the expectations generated by his first experience abroad, Mili said: “I came wanting to make the jump after the Copa América so I really want to play."

In his debut in the continental competition, Martín analyzed Argentina's performance in the Copa América. "We had a good cup. The result against Colombia makes you angry, but we feel capable of being in those places and competing against those rivals. Also the form, before we were going further back and we completely dominated the first half against Colombia. For what comes next the group feels very good, and it was a very positive Copa América," he developed.

Finally, he closed: "On the FIFA date it happens to us that we want to measure ourselves against the best. Brazil in South America is the toughest rival, they have a hierarchy that is not everywhere. In this Copa América we were able to capture what we had been preparing for before, and beyond the strength, from a football perspective Argentina looked better."
