The 2026 Women's Clausura Tournament reached its fifth day without a clear dominance in the table, although it did have many moments to highlight. For this reason, from FutFemGol we want to revive the gems left by date 5 of the championship.

The day was divided into two days: during the course of Saturday, Boca and Banfield tied without goals, while Unión tied with Huracán. San Luis struck the blow and beat Belgrano with a goal from Tiziana Ortíz, and Romina Núñez and Josefina Félix marked the victory of Talleres over Newell's.
During Monday, Ferro beat Gimnasia, San Lorenzo won the classic against Racing and S.A.T. He won on his visit to Independiente with a double from Lara López. It is worth mentioning that River postponed its visit to Lanús, which also has the first date against the Academy pending.

Before this day, both Banfield, Boca and River were equal at the top of the table, adding 9 units. The issue is that the Gladiators received the Drill and, after their goalless draw, an unexpected team joined the leadership of the Women's Clausura Tournament.

The equality between those led by Florencia Quiñones and Indiana Fernández's team was, coincidentally, the second consecutive of the contest without sacred shouts. The thing is, at the close of the fourth day, S.A.T. and San Lorenzo had produced the first goalless draw of the championship. Thus, Xeneize stretched its undefeated streak to four games and, in turn, cut a streak of two victories for those from the South.
Given the postponement of the confrontation between Lanús and River, it seemed that the table would leave Banfield and Boca as leaders on this date. Until Ferro surprised Gimnasia and climbed to the top along with the aforementioned teams. Alexia Mendoza scored her first two goals of the year and handed the Pack its fifth straight loss. The 19-year-old forward had not converted since September of last year and her only official double had been against Rosario Central in the 2024 Apertura Tournament.

In this way, Juan Palermo's team added its second consecutive victory and is preparing to visit the Taladro for the sixth day, a match that could define the next leader of the championship, taking into account that the Gladiators should visit the Millonarias but River will postpone all its matches until its players return from Mundial U-20.
Unión tightened the race for permanence and almost won, but Huracán tied it to take an important step
The top of the Clausura Tournament had decisive results, but the race to remain in the general table also saw crucial matches. The most influential was in Santa Fe, more precisely at the 15 de Abril Stadium, where Unión received Huracán.
After the comeback that Independiente made last date, the Globe had a litmus test to get its stay in the top category back on track. For a moment it seemed that that possibility was diluted, but the Quemeras did not break down emotionally and tied an essential match.

Jazmín Lencina broke zero by making her debut in the First Division networks. The 17-year-old striker was part of Paulo Poccia's team's promotion journey, but has alternated in Tatengue's attack throughout this season. His goal fell 20 minutes from time and seemed to end a duel that was as divided as it was tense.
But, at the end of it, Lara Luna equalized the match with her first goal in Huracán: she only had one official goal in the top category, which she converted during her time at Banfield and it was on date 6 of the 2024 Clausura Tournament, in September of that year, when Taladro beat Excursionistas 7-0 at the Bajo Belgrano Coliseum.

With this result, the Santa Fe team continues 15th in the Annual Table with 11 points and lost the opportunity to get closer to Globo, which is 13th with 21 points. Among other results that also impacted the red zone, Newell's and Independiente fell to Talleres and S.A.T., respectively. Everything will burn even more the following date, when Unión, who with Huracán added their second consecutive draw, visits the Diablas.
San Lorenzo beat Racing for the first time in more than two years and became a contender for the title
As it could not be for less, the closing of the date left another exciting duel between two teams that generated a lot of expectations this year. The current champion, Racing, visited its only runner-up in the Apertura Tournament, San Lorenzo, in order to recover lost ground in the table and define which of the two teams remains among the Clausura favorites.

The confrontation was closed and ended up being defined in the complement. Entering the final stretch of the game, Delfina Pafundi opened the scoring and equaled Emily Arias, the Santitas' top scorer all season, with 7 points. He scored his second goal of the Clausura Tournament and turned it into a classic again: his last score had been in the debut against Boca, during Ciclón's 2-1 victory at Casa Amarilla.
Those led by Franco Bertera returned to victory after two draws and one defeat, while the Acadómicas obtained their second loss in the championship. El Ciclón took revenge after their runner-up finish in the last championship, beating those from Avellaneda for the first time since June 2024. In between they tied three times, but Héctor Bracamonte's team won the last two matches of this rivalry.

Thanks to Pafundi, San Lorenzo reached 8 Talleres, S.A.T. units. and Unión, with whom it shares 6th place. In contrast, Racing was 13th with 4 points, although with one game less than the majority due to the postponement of its first date against Lanús. On the next day, Las Santitas will visit Newell's and the Academicas will do the same before S.A.T., in Moreno.
